SHELLEY ELMS
Since migrating to Australia from NZ in 1977, my qualifications and career has incorporated senior Human Resource roles within the international freight forwarding industry for large multi-national organisations.
However, in 2013 and to crystallise a long-held desire, I qualified with a Diploma Remedial Massage from the College of Natural Therapies, Sydney. Whilst maintaining my full-time HR career, I honed my bodywork expertise at both Premier Healing Centre in Caringbah and the Biomechanics Massage clinic, located Sutherland Leisure Centre at that time.
In 2015 I was fortunate to take ownership of the Biomechanics Massage Therapy business and I moved the clinic to our existing site in Loftus Avenue. Most recently, in 2022 it was finally time to retire from the corporate world and to focus my energy on the massage clinic exclusively.
My deepest desire is to continue to build strong and trusting relationships with my clients through imparting knowledge, expertise and guidance and by providing the most appropriate soft tissue/remedial massage techniques to support/maintain individual’s physical objectives.

Our business started more than 23 years ago in a small room just across from the outdoor pool at the Council’s Sutherland Leisure Centre.
Our new, larger and better-appointed clinic is across from the Loftus train station - at 103a Loftus Avenue. This new facility provides the same great treatment delivered by dedicated and professional therapists. Value-added benefits include on-street parking, larger treatment rooms, air conditioning and a relaxing reception area. EFTPOS facilities and health fund receipts can be provided.
Many of our clients are athletes – cyclists, swimmers, runners, triathletes, bodybuilders, or individuals focused on achieving optimum performance in their sport or fitness regime of choice. They spend time and energy perfecting their techniques, are interested in their health and wellbeing and rely on their remedial therapist to retain their body’s flexibility and suppleness to minimise injuries and strains.
